In southeast Europe, near Asia and yet only a two hour flight from Prague, you can find one of the world's most successfully developing tourist destinations - the wonderful country of Bulgaria. This kingdom of sun and sea sprawls out for 354 kilometres along the shores of the Black Sea.
Bulgaria, however, has more to offer than just the sea. The local mountains are high and the forests are deep. There are around six hundred thermal springs in the country with a temperature of between 20 and 60 degrees Celsius. The tallest mountain stretches to a height of 2925 metres (9596 feet) and dozens of wild streams and rivers can be found in the country's mountain ranges. Besides its long sandy beaches, the natural diversity of the Bulgarian countryside with its ten national parks is the biggest attraction for tourists.
In addition to the country's natural beauty, we should also mention the local population. In Bulgaria, tradition and kind hospitality go hand in hand everywhere you go. Thanks to this, the country is one of the most popular holiday regions. Guests never forget the excellent accommodation in modern hotels, the pleasant restaurants with outstanding Bulgarian cuisine as well as the wonderful local wines and the brilliant service. We also shouldn't forget to mention the low cost of living in the country.
